"You told me where you worked." He said, handing her the flowers and closing her eyes when she kissed his cheek. "I told you we’d see each other again soon." He said, smiling. "You can go get ready and I’ll wait for you here." He smiled, wanting to spend a little time with her tonight.
"Oh", Dianna laughed, not even remembering she had told Mark where she worked. "I didn’t think it was going to be that soon, but I’m not complaining", she replied. "I’ll be right back", she added before disappearing to the back. There was the cook there with her "Who’s the guy?", he teased her "Oh he’s a guy I met at the beach", Dianna replied "He brought you flowers? He ain’t just a guy…", the cook said. Dianna blushed and smiled "You can go now, I’ll take care of closing the restaurant. Have a good night", Dianna replied before bringing the bill to the last customers "Thank you guys, have a good night". The customers left and the cook as well, Dianna made sure everything was fine in the restaurant before locking it and setting the alarm. "I’m ready", she told Mark after exiting the place.
Mark got back upstairs, cleaned up the kitchen and hopped in the shower. He went on to buy himself a nice outfit to wear at the meeting he’d have the next day and met up with some friends before running other errands in the afternoon. He hadn’t told Dianna but he was trying out as an actor as well and his agent had gotten him an audition later that week and he got the information about the part and what he should study that day as well. It was around 5pm when he got back home. Mark decided to take a nap and set the alarm to 7pm. He woke up, got ready and got his car, driving to a flowers shop and got her a colorful bouquet of tulips and drive to her work place. He waited in the car until it was close to 9pm. He walked in had the flowers hidden behind him and stood there until he spotted her serving a table. He walked in her direction and said, “Excuse, I have a delivery for Ms. Agronsky…” He said, offering her the flowers.
Dianna drove home and took a quick shower before changing into her work clothes. She worked from 1pm to 9pm, serving tables, taking orders, doing a bit of managing in the office. It was close to 9pm and there was only one customer left who asked for coffee, which Dianna served them with a big smile. The girl then turned and walked away, she saw Mark “Mark! Hi! What are you doing here? How did you know this is where I work?”, she asked, puzzled and then saw the flowers “Oh my gosh, for me?”, she asked as she smelled the flowers “They’re so lovely! Thank you!”, she said, giving her friend a kiss on the cheek.
While they were in the elevator, Mark looked at Dianna and smiled, all he wanted to do was to kiss her. As the elevator arrived to the grund floor, he ooened the door for her and smiled. As they reached her car, Mark hugged her and took a deep breath, wanting to remember her scent, and whispered, “It won’t be long till you see me again.”
Once they got to Dianna’s car, the girl turned to her friend, she returned his hug, smelling his cologne and just loving the way he smelled. She let him go and smiled at him, nodding when he said she’d see him again soon “I hope so”, the blonde whispered before she got in her car and drove away, waving at Mark.
"Hey, you don’t need to clean up, I’ll do that. I don’t want you to have to rush home or get late to work. I’ll take you downstairs to your car." He said, smiling at her. "It was really good to have you over and I hope we get to do that much more often." He said, as they waked to the elevator.
Dianna smiled as Mark took care of cleaning up. The two walked to the elevator and Dianna was a little sad to leave “I had a good time too. I hope to do this again soon”, she murmured, smiling at her friend before they entered the elevator. Inside the elevator, it was quiet. They looked at each other and smiled.
"Well, somehow, without even know this evening manager, I already don’t like them…" He said, drinking his milk and wiping his mouth off as well. "Breakfast was really good. I can definitely get used to having breakfast with you often." He smiled looking at her.
Dianna shrugged “He’s a nice guy. He just had an emergency so I offered to substitute for him”, she explained. A soft smile crept on Dianna’s face “I really enjoyed breakfast too”, she said before looking at the time “I should go, I gotta shower and get ready for work”, she added, getting up and starting to clean up the table.
"Thank you! I hope I get it, it’d be a great relieve for me, it’d mean that all my hard work was paying off, you know?" He said, looking at her and frowning when she said she had to work form 1 to 9. "Jeez, that’s such a long shift, too bad we can see the sunset together again today…" He said, looking at her, already thinking of a way to see her later that day.
Dianna frowned “Yeah… But I really need the money so, I don’t say no to long shifts”, she replied. “We can see the sunset some other night when I’m not working too late. I usually work day shifts but, today I had to substitute for the evening manager”, she explained as she finished her breakfast and wiped her mouth.
"Really? Well, you have a great future as a waffle maker." He smiled, taking another one and putting some jam on it and shaking his head at her question. "No, I have no plans for today… Tomorrow I have a meeting that may land me a contract with a record label, which I’m pretty excited about but nothing today, you?"
Dianna laughed when Mark said she had a great future as a waffle maker “Yeah I doubt that’s the career path I’m gonna take”, the blonde joked. When Mark said he had a meeting the next day, Dianna grinned “Oh that’s so great! I hope you get it, that would be amazing!”, she spoke excitedly “I have to work at 1 today, until 9”, she pouted.
Mark smiled when he saw her serve herself. She was quite hungry for someone as petit as herself but he didn’t say anything. “I’m glad you’re liking it.” He said, getting a waffle for himself and putting butter and some maple syrup. “Hummm, you cooked them to the perfect point, just how I like it, this is delicious!” He said, smiling.
Dianna was happy that Mark liked her waffles and that she didn’t ruin them “It’s actually my first time making waffles… I’m glad I got them right!”. Dianna continued to eat, often gazing at her friend “So do you have any plans today?”, she asked before checking the time.
"I’m sure you’ll do great making the waffles." She smiled. "I mean, you’re cooking it with a big smile in your face so, it’ll be good." He said, placing the plates and glasses on the table, thankful that this week his mom had shopped for his groceries online and he was full of good things. He got the blueberry jam and maple syrup out of the fridge, along with butter and cream cheese, not sure if she ate that but he did. He also got some fruits and put it on the table with some orange juice for her and milk for himself.
Once Dianna was done with the waffles, she put them in a plate and then put everything on the table “Mmm look at all those good things. I can’t wait!”, she let out excitedly before she sat down and grabbed a waffle which she covered with blueberry jam and fruits. “Mmm it’s so good!”, she said with a mouthful.
"No, I don’t really have a cleaning lady, I just have someone come over like, one a month or so, just so I don’t look like a total careless hime owner…" He said, laughing and buttering the waffle machine. "I’m ready here too, let’s the waffle making begin!" He smiled. "Do you mind doing they while I set the table for us?"
Dianna nodded “Oh I see”, she replied before she moved to the waffle maker and poured some of the batter in it “I can’t guarantee it’ll be perfect though!”, she laughed, keeping an eye on the waffles, turning occasionally to gaze at Mark.
